If you like to listen to music while you run, keep track of your mileage or plan your routes, you need somewhere safe to put your phone while you are running. Here are four safe and easy ways to carry your phone with you while you go on a run.
#1 Running Shorts
One of the easiest ways to carry your phone on you is by putting it in your shorts. However, you don't have to put your phone by your waste band and hope that it doesn't fall out. Instead, you can purchase and wear running shorts that are designed with a special pocket for your phone.
The pocket is generally located on the side of your shorts, and is made out of elastic type material that keeps your phone tight against your body. These compression shorts pockets work well. Some shorts even include a little top to the pocket, so that you can really feel like your phone is secured to your body.
#2 Water Bottles
If you generally carry a water bottle with you when you run, consider investing in a water bottle that has a storage area. Some water bottles are designed with a bottom that you can screw off.
This bottom storage space is designed to be large enough for a modern phone, keys and cards. You could even store some granola bars or similar small snack food in the bottom of your water bottle. If you don't need to listen to music or actively use your phone while you are running, this can be a good way to keep your phone safe while running.
#3 Wrist Wallet
Another way to keep your phone safe while you are running is with a wrist walled. The wrist wallet straps onto your wrist, and allows you to keep your phone close to you while you are running. Many of these wrist wallets also include space for your keys and cards as well.
If you like to look at your phone to see your path when you are running, this can be a great way to carry your phone with you. It can also work well if you like to listen to music or pod casts as you run.
The next time you go for your run, make sure that your phone is secure by wearing running shorts with a special pocket for your phone, by bringing a water bottle with a storage compartment or by wearing a wrist wallet.
